Ski Washington - The Summit At Snoqualmie
The Summit ski resort is a destination resort you will not regret going to. Everyone who goes skiing or snowboarding here usually leaves happy. With over 22 chairlifts and 1,916 skiable acres, there is room for all levels and the terrain is evenly arranged for everyone. This is an exquisite ski resort that is only an hour away from Seattle. The Summit has many areas for beginners and it is a great ski resort for them to learn how to ski. It is very family oriented and they give awesome lessons here. The Alpental is great for advanced skiers; beginners are strongly urged not to go here.
The Summit has spectacular backcountry skiing, the only bad thing is that the elevation is very low, so snow can be a problem. Lodging is adjacent to Summit ski resort and there is a premium lodge at the bottom with all the social pleasures. Finding a place to crash for the night is easier than you think. The Summit is a grand winter retreat!
For non downhill skiers, there are over 50 km of cross country skiing at the Summit Nordic Center.
