Ski Washington - Mt Baker Ski Area
Mt Baker is a bigger Washington ski resort, with over a thousand skiable acres. There are 2 km of cross country skiing if you are not interested in downhill skiing. They also have a wonderful halfpipe for the freestylers in the family, and it gets good reviews. The tickets are cheap and if you are expert skier make sure you hit this ski resort on a powdery day! It is the best time to stop by. There are tons of people that go here on a regular basis and the lift lines still seem to be pretty short.
For beginners and intermediate skiers and riders, Mt. Baker offers several runs
out of the Heather Meadows Base with a discount lift price for those who decide
not to venture off the beginner chair. For more advanced to expert skiers and
riders, Baker's options are limitless with tight, tree-lined steeps and some of
the best backcountry terrain in the world.

Mt. Baker - is without a doubt one of the few areas left where skiing and
snowboarding takes priority over anything else and where the mountain still
gives you that feeling of being part of something that is intimately your own.
They currently hold the world record snowfall from the 98/99 season and this
year they opened boasting the deepest base out of any ski area in the world.

Advanced Skier - Mt. Baker is phenomenal! The terrain, the snow, and the lack of lift lines make
this a very desirable place for any serious skier. Sure, you can go to Whistler
and spend a lot of money but if you want to avoid all the attitude go south.
It's just too bad that for some people there is a damn border!! PS. They're
brown bag friendly! Alan
Advanced Snowboarder - Went to Mt Baker this first weekend of December and got lucky to get fresh dump of snow that was fluffy like Colorado snow because Washington is usually heavy snow. We went snowboarding the in some great mt Baker backcountry, wanted to make a jump but my buddies did want to stop. I guess i can't blame them. Joe
