Mad River Glen North Vermont - Mad River Glen Ski Area
What can Mad River Glen offer you? A beautiful, classic mountain with old traditions and old friends. It is a unique place with beautiful views but really long lines. The slopes here are not well groomed and the chair lifts are old and very very slow. For your money, this is not the the best skiing for your buck. If you are a hard core skier or snowboarder Smuggler's Notch is your best bet. When there is a fresh snowfall Mad River Glen is a great place to ski, but like most ski resort in the east US, it gets icy really quickly.

There is definitely is a charm to this ‘rustic’ style to Mad River Glen ski resort and that surely attracts snow seekers.

  • Other Features:
    • Kids Club
    • 800 off piste acres
    • Oldest single chairlift
    • Tree Skiing

Skiing at Mad River Glen, really dissapointed me and my whole family. We heard about this small town 'rustic' feeling resort but everything was the complete opposite. I think the people are worse there than at the upper class ski resorts. The lines were huge, the service was terrible, the food was even worse. I will never go back there becuase the only people who really enjoy it are the locals who have become accostomed to it and have friends and connections. What wasn't bad was just ok, so i am not really a fan and would not reccomend this resort to anybody. Try Killington or Bromley it has 10 times the charm of Mad Glen. Josh '06
