  Beaver Mountain Ski Resort

website: Beaver Mountain Ski Resort
- Beaver Mountain Ski Resort
Located in northern Utah, this mountain often gets overlooked. It has a wonderful terrain park and the crowds are very light, by Utah standards. While the resort is primarily beginner/intermediate terrain, there is a full third of advanced terrain that I found to be almost without a ski track upon it.

Un-like most of the ski resorts in Utah Beaver Mountain is not that big. There is a great half pipe, where lots of cool tricks can be done. It is so pretty to ski this way. But I recommend going on the downhill skiing. It is just absolutely amazing and the feeling you get when you ski this mountain is unexplainable! Most crowds that are intermediate skiers will enjoy this although there is so much space for beginners. There is a comfy lodge that has all the amenities. Lodging is very close by in the town. Beaver offers excellent night life and any kind of restaurant that is in the books.

Beaver Mountain has such a great terrain park and half pipe, some people can do the coolest tricks in this area. Watch out though the snowboaders really take this part over. The rental shop is a one stop shot for the beginners and experts alike. You are able to find a higher level skies although you are still able to find lower grade.

  • Other Features:
    • Halfpipe
    • Great Terrain Park
    • Uncrowded

Skiing at Beaver - Located in northern Utah, this mountain often gets overlooked. It has a wonderful terrain park and the crowds are very light, by Utah standards. While the resort is primarily beginner/intermediate terrain, there is a full third of advanced terrain that I found to be almost without a ski track upon it. I add to that the presence of amazing backcountry that is equally clear of people and it equals a perfect getaway from the 2 million people of Park City. My friend Leslie’s family owns the mountain and I think that she and her family are some of the friendliest people around, so I’ve always preferred to send my money their way as opposed to one of the corporate mountains nearby. Beaver Mountain is the place to go when you want to reap all of Utah’s wonderful benefits but don’t want to fall prey to any of its crowded problems. Joey Smallwood
