- Woods Valley Ski Area
This is one of the smallest resorts in New York. I would not touch this resort with a ten foot pole unless you area a beginner skier. There is a terrain park but you most likely will not enjoy this unless you are a beginner boarder also. The snowmaking here is not worth seeing at all. There usually is not a lot of snow at all. The ski school is alright if you have a beginner in your group and you are coming here I suggest you teach them how to ski and snowboard yourself.
You really only need to come here if you need to polish up some of the basic skills or if you are a first time goer. The racing team for the younger kids is a great program. It really instills the basics of skiing into a young ones mind. Have fun with this resort and really be aware of everything this resort has to offer.
