diamond peak Snowboard Nevada - Mt. Rose Ski Resort
Mt. Rose is about 20 miles from Reno. This resort is big and has terrain from beginners to expert. The terrain is easily accessed with there high quality chairlifts that hold six people. There is 3 snowboard parks and pipes. If you got some moves the parks are a great way to show them off. It is also easy to learn off of the parks here. This resort has great views of Lake tahoe and the also the beautiful Sierra Mountains.

The lines for the chairs are unexistent. There are also great learning programs and the staff also know a lot about what they are doing. The rental shop is a easy in and out trip. The lodge is great for a lunch break with restrooms and a warm cozy fire. There is also a bar where you can get a beer. This truly is a wonderful resort for everyone. Enjoy skiing at Mt. Rose Ski Resort.

Mt Rose - Not a bad ski resort, but overpriced compared to the bigger/better ones in the area. Also it gets extremely windy and thus can blow off powder exposing a concrete packed snow layer underneath. No lines but limited terrain, very crowded, and too expensive. Remember, 30 minutes from a city means 30 minutes from a lot of people. (Matt Smith - August 07)

Boarding at Mt Rose - Mt Rose is one of the better ski resorts at around Lake Tahoe and is only thirty minutes away from Reno. They have high speed lifts that take you up to pretty good steeps on good snow with few lines. Their terrain park is supposed to be one to check out but i missed it in the early season. (George - March 07)

Skiing Mt Rose - This was me and my girlfriend's first time to Mount Rose and we were impressed. The runs were organized well so we could both go up on the same lift but come down on two different levels of steepness. I got some poweder while she was able to stay on the groomed. We also were able to get a great deal staying in Reno, and you have to love the two for one tuesdays. (Kevin - January 07)
