Skiing blacktail - This 1000 acre gem is one of the real fun family places to ski in Montana--and at very affordable prices. All 24 trails are east facing, so the snow quality is consistenly good. While it doesn't have the extreme steeps of some of the major ski resorts, at around 1000 acres there is plenty of terrain for just about everyone's ability. Their lodge--at the Summit of Blacktail Mountain is terrific--especially for adults--who occupy the highest level and enjoy wonderful views of the Swan Range, Flathead Lake and the valley below. Definitely worth a trip to ski there!! Michael Moffitt - Nov 06
