Kato Ski Area 18 trails are what Mount Kato is known for. It doesn’t sound like much. There is not much to see here so you really would not miss out if you kept on driving. If you have little ones in your group you would find this resort to be the most beneficial for them. Most of the terrain is for beginner and intermediate skiers. Wanting a rush from this resort is almost asking too much. Advanced skiers/snowboarders should just pass this one up. There food is ok it’s not the best lodge food in the world, they definitely could work on this portion of the resort. Welch is the next closest resort.
The trails are very lax and intermediate skiers will find this resort a good place to brush up on some skills. The lift tickets are very reasonable and this resort is definitely out for everyone else’s own good.
