  Big Powderhorn Mountain Ski Area

website: Big Powderhorn Mountain Ski Area
- Big Powderhorn Mountain Ski Area
One of the best things about this resort is that there is 600 vertical drop. That is one of the biggest in the nation. There is so much more terrain: groomed, powder, moguls, hills and much more. There is a half pipe and a terrain park. If downhill skiing is not your thing then there is always some cross country skiing. This is a great way to experience this mountain. The lift tickets are reasonable and the best part about these is when you buy a two day or three day pass it is a lot cheaper. There is lodging nearby and there are some cabins on-site. There is a great restaurant on the mountain and there is also tons of food places close by.

Rentals are really easy to get and the instructors are very friendly. The terrain park consists of two parks. One of them is Powderkeg and the other is Oxbow. This resort has all around terrain and is perfect for anyone that wants to enjoy a beautiful day of skiing. Instead of a rope tow for beginners they have a junior size chair lift. This is really cool because it makes it easier for them to get up and it releases some of the stress.

  • Other Features:
    • Halfpipe
    • Terrain Park
    • 12 km Cross Country Skiing
