Three terrain parks, and the largest one is bigger and better than ever, and then we have a small and a medium park, too. Then we can't forget the hIgh speed six passenger lift to the summit. It takes just five minutes to get to the top. The vertical drop is 1,150 feet, and the elevation at the summit is 2,380 feet.

Hancock, MA: It may be Black Friday for holiday shoppers, but the day after Thanksgiving is the kick-off to the winter season for many skiers and riders, and this year was one of the best in a long time. The Thanksgiving snowstorm dropped 5 to 8 inches of snow at Jiminy Peak, which combined with terrific snowmaking conditions to make for a terrific ‘White’ Friday at Jiminy!
Three times as many skiers and snowboarders visited Jiminy Peak today versus the same day last year, with twice as much terrain open. This early season is already shaping up to be one of the best ever. Year to date sales of the Jiminy Peak Value Card are up 15% over last year, and season pass sales are also at the highest level ever at Jiminy Peak, at 10% ahead of last season already.
J.J.’s Lodge, the final building in the Village Center at Jiminy Peak, will open on December 10, 2005 with a new food court featuring John Harvard’s Express, seasonal lockers, the Snowsports School, and fifteen condominiums. The $6.8 million investment in J.J.’s Lodge brings Jiminy Peak’s total capital investment over the past six years to more than $16 million. Rich (Dec/05)
Skiing Jiminy Peak - I've only skied at Jiminy Peak once, and that was November 2005. Jiminy felt
they could be the first resort open in Massachussetts, and I was excited to be
skiing Nov. 20th, which was early in the NorthEast.
There were no more than a couple of runs open, and we had to hop over muddy
streams to get across the ridge to the runs. I guess if you want to open that
early, you take what you get.
I was not impressed with the conditions or the fact that they didn't put the
actual runs open on their website....crucial information for me: I would have
saved my money for another time.
I'll get back there someday when they are fully open, however, in their haste to
be the first one open, it left a bad taste and I have no desire to go back soon Bonni
