Skiing Butternut - Butternut is a great place for the level 5 skier. If you're ready for lower intermediate runs, Butternut has what you want.None of the runs had any real challenge making this a great place for beginners. (Advanced skiers may want to ski elsewhere.) The snowmaking and grooming were among the best, and this also helps make this a perfect place for families. While crowded on weekends, it's a friendly place, and the patrollers are friendly and visible. The lodge is small, but the food is good and reasonable. Bonni - November 05'

Snwoboarding at Butternut - Butternut is terrible. It might be really cheap but that’s because the quality of the snow, the resort and the people are horrible. I went up there with a friend because we wanted to snowboard and not have to pay too much and we regretted that decision. First of all the snow was horrible and there were rocks showing everywhere. We decided to go to the lodge and it was expensive and empty. The service was terrible and we wanted to get out of there. Basically you get what you pay for. I would not recommend this place to anybody and I know I will never go back. Jennifer - Janurary 06'
