Skiing at Berkshire East - Berkshire East is a fairly challenging resort that’s Massachussett’s best kept secret. Just talking about it seems wrong, because the more I boost it up, the more people will want to go there.
It’s got all the terrain for the advanced skiers, and great areas for beginners. It has some substantially long and wide runs for the East, and I think that for a little resort, I should keep quiet if I want to preserve the atmosphere that exists there. ;)
Go around noontime, and take a whiff of what’s grilling on the Ski Patrol grill at the patrol shack. Now those guys REALLY know how to do it right! I’ve met some of the patrollers, and they are a very friendly group of people. Stop and say hi if you’re around….maybe they’ll show you around.
