Big Rock, located in Mars Hill Maine, is a family friendly ski area. They are very focused on ski instruction. In recent years, Big Rock has put a good deal of attention into extensive brush clearing, trail reconditioning and cutting and improved snowmaking capabilities. They’ve added new lifts, and purchased new grooming equipment. A new café has been added to the lodge. You can now enjoy homemade soups sandwiches and snacks. Big Rock has a racing program for kids, and a Wednesday night “Ladies Night Out” for female skiers. Big Rock is the largest ski mountain north of Bangor.
