Valley Ski Resort
- Fun
Valley Ski Resort Although this resort is small, even for Iowa it is a great place to learn how to ski and to make friends. 100 percent of the snow is made, but there are many available trails for mostly beginners and intermediate skiers. The staff is friendly and offers great lessons, so when you leave you will be able to get down the hill! It is a fun day trip and the grooming is great so you do not have to worry about bad snow.
Whether you are going with your family or learning how to snowboard with your friends, Fun Valley does accommodate to all your basic needs. It has a small mountain atmosphere and will not take you more than one day to cover the mountain.

Skiing Fun Valley - Fun Valley isn’t fun. Not if you’re a skier.
If you’ve never been on skis, or been to a real ski resort, you might like it, but you may think all ski resorts look like this, and that would be a Grave Error.
This should be called Tubing Valley, because they have a wonderful tubing area, but even that is pretty short and dull. After pushing myself down the slope with my poles a couple of times, I was ready to go. And I did.
Hey, it’s close to Des Moines. Woop!! Bonni |
