Ridge Ski Area
They do have rentals, lessons and cheap tickets for those still learning. The green on this mountain makes it easy for beginners to get the hang of skiing and helps them learn all the techniques it takes to learning how to ski. Tree skiing can be very enjoyable if you hit this powder ridge after a big storm and avoid the ice. If you are looking for a racing type of mountain, this is the one for you. One really cool feature that Powder Ridge ski resort has is the two terrain parks.
The entire terrain at Powder Ridge ski resort can be rode by an average skier pretty quickly. If you are looking forward to using more technique maybe pass this resort up. The problem most people have is that Powder Ridge is not big enough for their preference. The cabins and the hotels make it easy to stay for a quick night and there are restaurants and other things to do when coming here. Do not over rate this place and make sure you know the style that this resort offers. The only true scary thing about coming here is how old the chair lifts are so watch out.

Skiing at Powder
Ridge - I grew up skiing Powder Ridge as a child, its the first place I learned how to make turns. This mountain is good for getting a few hours in, and calling it quits. It has 75 acres of riding, and 18 posted trails. You can find some decent tree skiing on a powder day if your lucky. The downside to powder ridge is that if you ski/ride terrain parks this mountain is not for you. The “park-crew” does a horrible job maintaining the park, and the managers of this mountain are just not down for the new movement in snow sports. It is a more racer orientated mountain, so if your a racer you are golden. Other than that, if you just wanna get on the hill and make some turns and you have no choice of going anywhere else, Powder Ridge will do the trick, but will get boring after a few hours with its too easy of terrain.
