Mohawk Mountain Ski Resort
Mohawk Mountain is Connecticut's oldest winter sports facility, with the highest elevation in Connecticut. However, Mohawk ski resort does not offer enough for the price of the lift ticket. People come here with the knowledge that there money and time here is not spent very well. They have a terrain park that could use some improvements. Not everything is top of the line but you can find fun at any ski resort. If this resort is super close to you its worth coming here because you will spend that much in gas anyways.
One of the advantages of Mohawk Mountain is that there are 65 km of cross country skiing, and this is a spectacular way to see the mountain. The lifts are long and very boring but the view it sends off is worth waiting for. Do not expect big things here but go out with a bang and enjoy this experience.

Skiing at Mohawk - With a 1,600 ft summit elevation Mohawk Mountain is the highest ski resort in Connecticut. With a $42 dollar lift ticket charge though, there is no way this mountain is worth it. You are better of going to Ski Sundown for more challenging terrain and extremely better terrain parks. Mohawks terrain park is horribly maintained, bad features, and dangerous from the last time I was there. I did enjoy Mohawk though for jumping small cliffs and riding switch around the mountain. If you live in the south western part of CT, Mohawk would be your best bet considering its the closest to Danbury/Greenwich area. But, with the steep lift ticket charges your better off driving to New Hartford and hitting up up Ski Sundown. Patrick
