- Steamboat Springs Ski Resort
Steamboat Spring is famous for being the town that has produced more winter Olympians than anywhere elese on Earth. It is a beautiful ski resort that is quite big with exceptional Colorado snow. Steamboat offers great tree runs and backcountry skiing. The mountain has well planned separation of the beginner skiers from the intermediate and advanced. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the staff always go out of there way for you.
The gondola is a great way to start your day at Steamboat Springs ski resort. There are ski in ski out condos, it is very convenient when it only takes no more than a half an hour to get the family up and on the mountain. They have a great rental shop from everything like skis to snowshoes and offer other activities such as climbing or cross country skiing. Even though it is quite far from civilian life it sure is a hot spot in Colorado. Ski Steamboat Springs Ski Resort.

Skiing at Steamboat Springs - Not one town on earth, they say, has never produced more Olympians than Steamboat Springs. I was disappointed at first because there was no terrain above tree line, which was something that seemed to be a pre requisite in calling oneself a premiere Colorado ski resort. Upon further inspection, however, I found that every chairlift was perfectly designed in a pattern through which all skiers could easily access the entire mountain without many, if any, awkward slogs through boring catwalks. Also, the fact that it is forested and its northern latitude are integral factors in helping it consistently stay among the top three ski areas in the state. I have always been partial to the terrain park of Steamboat, all of the no name and Christmas tree chutes, and well planned separation of the beginning skiers from the intermediate and advanced, which is convenient for everybody.
