- Sierra Summit Ski Resort
Nearest to Fresno, Seirra Summit ski resort is a great family exerience. For being a smaller Califronia ski resort , Seirra Summit have stepped it up with three snowboard parks and a half pipe. This ski resort is your best bet if you are coming from sothern centeral California. For other good ski resorts in the Seirra Nevadas, Dodge Ridge and Bear Valley are also good options for centeral valley skiers and snowboarders.
The best part about this place is that they have a ski in ski out. It is fairly inexpensive to stay here. Sierra Summit ski resort caters tries to cater to everyone with many different lodging options and restaurants. There are also two picnic areas for people to enjoy lunch with the family. Sierra Summit mountain is a little smaller but it makes it easier to get around. Not many people go here so it usually isn’t that busy.

Skiing at Sierra Summit - This place is a little smaller than many of the other places. Its quietness and beauty is what bring people here. It is mainly for beginner and intermediate skiers. You will find some runs for advanced. Since the mountain is a little smaller it makes the whole thing easy to access and I was happy to be able to get around easily.
It is great for Spring skiing and the snow seems to be the best around that time. Lift tickets were a little pricy considering the lack of terrain to be skied. Many people, like me, prefer to go to somewhere that is a little bigger, cheaper, and more advanced. Overall this ski resort is ideal for beginning families.
