- - Lake Tahoe Ski Resorts - Seirra at Tahoe
One of the closer Lake Tahoe ski resorts, Seirra is as big and as popular as other ski resorts in the area, but that is partly due to the great deal on their season pass. There are always people there and very crowded on the weekends. Many snowboarders take up most of this mountain you will find locals and Californians, it is not a featured destination for travelers.
They just opened up a super pipe. They have restaurants at the top and bottom of the mountain. They have different foods from bagels and juice to burgers and fries. There is lodging available in the Lake Tahoe area. They always have deals going on. There are many activities to do: tubing, back country skiing, snowshoeing and many other activities. This place is close to many of the night life. The people here are very welcoming. You can rent or buy any ski equipment if it is necessary.

Skiing at Sierra - at - Tahoe - While Sierra-at-Tahoe is not the biggest ski resort in the Tahoe area; it is definitely one of the most fun. With a beautiful and secluded mountain setting near Lake Tahoe, Sierra-at-Tahoe offers something for everyone. While sitting on the quad chair you experience a view of a lifetime. This place is absolutely gorgeous. This place is also great for skiers of all types.
All of the employees were helpful and patient. They were all out to make sure that your experience was one of a lifetime. Although, I agree that the runs are more family friendly. The only disappointment I had was with the crowd. It is a little over-rated and people do think that it is not as good as they thought it would be. Sierra had many snowboarders in the park while I was there. It seemed to be more towards the boarders than the skiers.
All in all I think that my experience here was great. This place is complet and activities geared towards family fun.
Snowboarding at Seara - at - Tahoe - The closest ski resort to Sacramento and a cheap season pass makes it is crowded by regulars, most of which are teenage snowboarders ripping it up, and i mean ripping. The longest runs for the best of them, merge into the intermediate and beginner which means you are zooming by bigginers and you can tell they are scared, i feel bad for them. There are two decent parks, not as good at North Star. High-speed lifts here mean short lines, wrong, the lines are long and they have a conterversial VIP pass which is used by many to cut in line. If you want a season pass near Sacramento go ahead it will do but don't come here for a frist time vacation in Lake Tahoe. former season pass holder without the VIP pass - sucked
