  Northstar Ski Resort

website: Northstar Ski Resort
- - Lake Tahoe Ski Resorts - Northstar Ski Resort
The most terrain is set aside for intermediate skiers. This place is great to get a good long day of skiing in. The snow seems to always be in exceptional conditions. The Terrain Park and pipes were cool. The best part about it is that skiers/snowboarders can use the pipes and parks. There are about four bars around here and many nice restaurants. If you feel the need to go to church they even have worship services. There are base villages with restaurants, bars, shops, groceries, overnight ski storage, and changing rooms. They have all the accommodations to help every person that goes through there resort.

Skiing at Northstar - at - Tahoe - I was dissapointed with Northstar. When I arrived I had to wait in a LONG line at the parking lot to get into a bus, then another LONG line to buy a ticket, and then another LONG line to get on the gondola. The gondola doesn't take you to any trails, but to the bottom of the mountain. There, it's two more lifts to the top, leaving a total of five lines to wait in before getting to ski. The terrian is decent for beginners and intermediates, but really isn't worth the hassle when all of the other major Tahoe resorts allow you to park within walking distance of their major lifts!

Skiing at Northstar - at - Tahoe - Northstar-at-Tahoe is a very well-rounded resort with plenty of terrain to keep all skill levels happy, as well as a host of off-mountain activities to keep non-skiers and snowboarders smiling all day long. The best part is that you can cruise down the terrain. The snow always has good quality and when the weather conditions are perfect this is the place to go.

The runs are long and have a consistent steepness. Some of the runs are groomed nightly and some are left to develop moguls. They have 7 high-speed lifts, this leaves this place with short lines and makes the runs more accessible, but on weekends there always waits. The backside of the mountain is the place to be in this park. There are many places for the average skier and the not so average skier. There is also advanced terrain for the experts out there. Northstar is a great resort for the whole family! Nicole

Snowboarding at Northstar - at - Tahoe - Northstar has one of the best terrain parks I have ever seen. One of it longest high speed lifts takes you to the top of an intermediate run, and the hole way down is just a big snowboard park that starts with boxs and rails and then splits to thress sections beginner intermediate and advanced. You get to pick which one you want and there is always a jump that will suite you needs. Realy a great park. Other than that Northstar gets a little crowded and there isn't much expert or back-country runs so fresh snow usually groomed. When you are in Tahoe for a week it is working checking out, if you like a good park you might not want to leave. Alan
