- - Mt Shasta ski Park
Mt. Shasta is one of the smaller ski resorts of California, but would make a good place for a family that would like to stay together. Also enjoy a having lunch together in Mt. Shasta's comfortable lodge.
This Park is smaller than many others. It is aimed for intermediate skiers. They have great terrain parks and one for intermediate and one for beginners. There night skiing is very interesting and is a total blast. They have a relaxing bar for the older crowd. They also have a shop on the mountain for souvenirs. One convenient thing about this resort is they did have guest services if you ever run into a problem. If you enjoy cross country skiing they also have it available for those that are interested.

Skiing at Mt. Shasta Board and Ski Park - Skiing at Mt Shasta was definitely an experience that I do not wish to relive again. Not only were the runs in bad conditions, the lines were long and uncontrolled. I do not think it was a good place for beginners because of the icy conditions. I was stunned not to find any groomed runs.
The lodge on the other hand was very nice and welcoming. The people were very friendly, almost too friendly. I went with my family and found that the night skiing was a pleasant experience that I have never tried before. It was a little alarming skiing at night but the place was well lit. I must warn you there were some dark spots on some trails.
It has some great trails out in the woods and it makes some great jumps for any one to hit.
There old lift chairs make for a delay in the amount of skiing time. Personally I would rather go to Squaw Valley and enjoy the professionalism portrayed there. But, I wouldn't ski MT SHASTA again.
Mt Shasta - Living in Humboldt County California, you have a couple of choices when it comes to skiing. You can drive for about 6 hours and ski Tahoe or drive 2 and ski Mt Shasta. I chose the latter. Unfortunately, there really isn’t much to be had at Mt. Shasta. The snow is usually wet and heavy. There season does not usually start until mid-December.
However, jibbers take note. There is a super-half pipe and terrain park here. The resort just got a new pipe dragon to build the super pipe. There is also plenty of boxes, rails, and plain old hits.Mark
