- - Lake Tahoe Ski Resorts - Boreal Ridge Ski Area
With a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, Boreal is notably one of the smaller Lake Tahoe ski resorts, that still offers a little extra something. Apart from a friendly staff, Boreal has a 600ft super park, night skiing, and good food. Keep in mind for those searching for steep drops that Boreal Ridge only has 500ft of vertical drop.
This Mountain is very friendly towards beginners and intermediates and has over eight different terrain parks. If you need somewhere to stay the Boreal Inn is ideal, located just a ¼ of a mile from the resort. It will accommodate 1-4 people in each room and children under four stay for free. Boreal is smaller but it is family-friendly. The staff are awesome and go out of there way to help, always an add perk.

Nate - I have been going to Borael for 2 years now, since I started Boarding. From the ski resorts I have been to, Boreal is the best! Everyone skiing there are there to have fun. Most of everyone is freindly. The first time I went was with my friend and a bomb time. I will be going back again.
(San Ramon, CA)
Skiing at Boreal- Well there isn’t that much to say about this park. When I went with my family, the conditions weren’t that great. The snow was a little slushy and slowed ya down a little. I found the atmosphere to be very mellow. Skiing during the night was a bigger hit than riding during the day. The snow was a little harder which made the skiing a little quicker.
This ski resort is very small, but provides a good atmosphere for a family. Personally, I don’t think I would consider going back there, until maybe, I start a family. Sugar Bowl, on the other hand, is just a few miles away. I would suggest paying the extra dollars to ensure a great time.
