Skiing at Mt Ste Anne is fun for the whole family. We usually stay at Chalets
Mt Ste Anne a 1 minute walk from the gondala in chalets that are available in 2 to 5 bedroom formats. All the necessary amenities are available in Beaupre, a 5 minute drive away.
The ski shop at Ste Anne will tune your skis overnight.
For parents, Camirerie, although expensive ($600 cdn for four s last time
we went there) is a typically wonderful French restaurant with an excellent wine
selection. Try the baked Foie Gras.
The ski school is great, our 5 year old has been
going to this school annually since he was three and loves it. Instructors
speak both French and English.
From a night life perspective you are better off going to Mont Tremblant
although Quebec City can be a blast it is a 30 minute drive from Mont Ste Anne.
The north side of the mountain is a great morning warm up with the South West
area offering some challenging runs. The view of Old Quebec from the top of La
Crete is magnificent.
You may want to try Le Massif about 40 minutes down the road from Mont Ste Anne.
They have reciprocal rights. Le Massif offers the sensation that you are going
to ski right into the St Lawrence River. The Cdn Ski Team practices here and it
is a really interesting set of runs.
All in all a great experience. RoseMarie |
