snowboarding canada Mont Sainte-Anne Ski Resort
Host of many world cups, Sainte Anne is a resort known around the world. This cute little French European style city offers warm and exciting atmosphere. The slopes must be great here and it is known for some of the best skiing terrain in North America. This is a good area for snowboarders because of the cool parks and pipes. You should give it a go.

Its not the cheapest in the area but you do get what you pay for, since it is extremely beautiful and one of the bigger mountains in Quebec. So you like this style you will love the quality of Mont Sainte Anne. It has three faces to ski or snowboard down and around 56 runs. What is great is that Quebec City is nearby and it is known for its cultural beauty. This sounds like a full package.

  • Other Features:
    • Half-pipe
    • 3 snowboard parks
    • Night skiing
    • Day care

Skiing at Mt Ste Anne is fun for the whole family. We usually stay at Chalets Mt Ste Anne a 1 minute walk from the gondala in chalets that are available in 2 to 5 bedroom formats. All the necessary amenities are available in Beaupre, a 5 minute drive away. The ski shop at Ste Anne will tune your skis overnight.

For parents, Camirerie, although expensive ($600 cdn for four s last time we went there) is a typically wonderful French restaurant with an excellent wine selection. Try the baked Foie Gras.

The ski school is great, our 5 year old has been going to this school annually since he was three and loves it. Instructors speak both French and English. From a night life perspective you are better off going to Mont Tremblant although Quebec City can be a blast it is a 30 minute drive from Mont Ste Anne. The north side of the mountain is a great morning warm up with the South West area offering some challenging runs. The view of Old Quebec from the top of La Crete is magnificent.

You may want to try Le Massif about 40 minutes down the road from Mont Ste Anne. They have reciprocal rights. Le Massif offers the sensation that you are going to ski right into the St Lawrence River. The Cdn Ski Team practices here and it is a really interesting set of runs. All in all a great experience.
