BC Coast - Cypress Mountain Ski Area
Cypress Mountain is very small ski area, but is the Official Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding Venue for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. . Keep in mind that Whistler / Blackcomb is only 30 minutes from here. They do also offer cross country skiing if downhill is to hard to catch on to. This mountain is a perfect mountain is start your skiing season off.
The backcountry is limited because of some of the huge terrain traps, experts/locals only. The ski school is great, lots of super top of the line ski/board instructors from all over the world. This is a great place for everyone of all ages. There are a couple restaurants nearby and also lodging. You can get Cypress Mountain done with one day of skiing or snowboarding.

Skiing at Cypress - Cypress is great for beginner and Intermediate skiers and
snowboarders, but for advanced to expert there isn't much downhill this mountain
has to offer except for practicing those icy carves during night skiing hours.
They also have an average park with very reasonable rates if you want to learn
how to ride some rails.

Skiing at Cypress - For some reason, this hill is super popular with
snowboarders. It seems whenever I go there, the
snowboarder to skier ratio is higher than usual.
The Blow By is a personal favorite; there's some
fancy tree work to be done at the bottom. Their
snowboard park is pretty great too. PS: lots of
hotties working at Cypress too!
