Ski Snowboard BC - Red Mountain Ski Resort
Red Mountain ski resort is known for the excellent terrain. Even though it seems to be crazy to wait in the lines, you will appreciate every second of skiing or snowboarding. The top of the mountain is nice and intermediate skiers can go and still have a safe enough trip on the way down. They make the whole mountain accessible for almost every type of skier except beginners. For beginners, the bottom of the mountain offers a couple runs to get you learning how to ski or snowboard. These runs are also great way start the day or season off.
The lodge is the happening place for breakfast, lunch and maybe an early dinner. If not, you can hit up the town and eat dinner with your family there. There is also lodging available in this town. It is also the place to go if you are not with your family and just need a night out with friends to th bars.

Skiing Red Mountain - Red Mountain in Rossland was a favorite of mine while I was learning to ski. I liked some of the gladed runs because they didn’t have a huge slope to them, and you could practice in powder without facing a lot of obstacles. Trees were far enough apart not to be a danger. Red is not a destination resort, and for the West, that’s a nice change. It’s not crowded, and you won’t find a line at any lift. You WILL find lots of locals enjoying their private playground, and they welcome you with smiles.
The town is what made us go there often. It’s quaint and unassuming, and in some restaurants, it’s almost like being in one of Crocodile Dundee’s Outback pubs. Not many places can make you feel that at home naturally, and Rossland does it best. Bonni |
