Sunshine Village is a wonderful resort. There is a gondola that makes the whole resort easily accessible. The lessons make it so you can to ski or snowboard without a problem. These instructors are fully trained and great with young children all the way up to older adults. There is tons of cross country skiing, this is a great way to experience this mountain. There is also a huge snowboard park with jumps and rails. Sunshine also has packages to make it a little cheaper for someone that has to rent, get a lesson, and buy a ticket.
The tickets are very reasonable. There is even Starbucks coffee right next to the ski lifts. So, you can get top of the line coffee while you take a break or while you freshen up in the morning. The snow seems to be fair and they have the most beautiful sunny days. The views of this resort are also really cool, almost something that should not be missed out on. The huge mountains, the trees its so picturesque.

Skiing at Sunshine Village - As you approach the parking lot to Sunshine Village, you are treated to the sight of the multi colored gondolas. Change your boots in your car, and then walk a few steps to the gondolas. They will take you right up to the lift area. How’s that for convenience?
In fact, everything about Sunshine Village is completely stress-free. The wide open terrain allows you to make turns of all shapes and sizes. There are many long, roller coaster type trails that help you get into the flow of snow-sliding. For those of you who enjoy extreme terrain, check out Delirium Drive. The Fact that Sunshine Village has terrain that is suitable for all levels of skiing and riding makes it a suitable area for families, as well as groups of friends with varying skiing and riding skills. Sunshine Village is located in Banff National Park in the heart of the Canadian Rockies and is only a 1-˝ hour drive west of Calgary on a well-maintained 4-lane highway, 8 KM west of the town of Banff. Our access road is clearly sign posted from Highway #1.
