Big White Ski Resort Castle Mountain Resort
For having 1400 skiable acres Castle Mountain ski resort is a big, but there are only 5 chair lifts serving it. There is about 50 km of cross country skiing, which is another great way to explore Castle Mountain. The weather at Castle Mountain ski resort is not very predictable you either really really like it or you hate it. There is so much that can go wrong and one storm is enough to ruin your trip. So to everyone be prepared for a beautiful day with tons of sun and great powder or there is always the awful storm with the cold wind. The personnel are very friendly and want you have a great day in any type of weather.

There are accommodations nearby situated close to nightlife, a mall and restaurants. The lodge at the bottom of the Castle Mountain is really good food and a place to get warm and get rested for a long day of skiing. Advanced skiers can really enjoy there day out at Castle Mountain, with 45% of the ski resort designated for them. Ride the Wood at Castle Mountain Ski Resort!

Location of Castle Mountain Resort Ski Area:
Castle Mountain Resort is located just east of the continental divide in southwest Alberta, 2 1/2 hours southwest of Calgary. The resort is in the Castle valley, surrounded by Gravenstafel Mountain, Barnaby Ridge and Haig Mountain.
